The Studio worked with Stock Woolstencroft Architects to produce and detail up a scheme for Durken Homes adjacent to the former Greenwich Hospital. The site comprised a main road frontage with a slip of land extending between gardens to the rear. The architect produced a scheme for apartments with underground parking around a central courtyard as the main element with a series of mews, inward facing, courtyard homes in the strip of land to the rear. Linked to this scheme as part of ‘planning gain’ was an outline design for a school playground for the nearby Invicta Primary School. The studio did not oversee the site works as this was undertaken in house by Durkan Homes. the courtyard was effectively a roof garden with a light well to a naturally ventiliated car park. The scheme was completed in 2006.
